A place where the magic of the steppe, nature and tradition meet the comfort of the present...

Tuba Farm is situated on the edge of the Hortobágy, 5 kilometres away from Hajdúszoboszló. In 1992 we bought the farm which holds the memories of the Tuba family through parents and grandparents. The over 100-year-old farmhouse has been turned into a museum which evokes the atmosphere of long-ago; the rest of the farm has also been modelled on the farmhouse.

Our guests can get acquainted with traditional dishes: the flavours of old times are conjured up on an open fire, in a cauldron, or in the beehive oven.

The restaurant of the farm can seat 65 people; group events are held there with a 4-5-hour programme including a rich supper, and a fabulous show of traditional costumes, folkways, dances and our zither band.

The peace and quiet of the farm promises a special experience to our visitors throughout the year. Of the currently 5 hectares area 2.5 hectares are covered by a neat park facilitating the active recreation of our guests.

The apartment houses follow the traditions of bio-architecture; they are built of adobe and are covered by a thatched roof, and furnished with original rustic furniture.

In our animal park we have native Hungarian breeds, like the grey cattle, the Mangalica swine, long-wooled sheep, or different kinds of domestic fowl, etc.

In the gift shop of the farm you can find Hungarian folk craft products, as well as souvenirs from Tuba Farm.
